Using up data too quickly

Hello, all-
I have the Talk & Text 1200 plan with PagePlus and I am noticing that lately I am using up the 100MB of

data

much more quickly than I ever have in the past although I haven't changed my usage routine. I have noticed that a couple of days ago the Uploading Data icon has appeared at the top of my phone but I can't figure out what is uploading and how to shut it off and today I went past my data limit which I never do this soon into my pay period. Any ideas of why this is happening and how do I shut it off?

Check your syncs..weather, Facebook, etc well sync in the background if enabled to. Check any app that gives your status, location, gives you a forecast or what's what. anything like picasa, Google +, etc might be uploading photos or checking for new ones and reporting none. There could be a lot of possible things. Although I have unlimited data I use a mobile network toggle widget to turn data on/off and only turn it in when I'm using data and not on wifi.
