Pixel Displacement Problem
I wish I could post a picture to better explain this problem I've been having. The best way I can explain it is this. The old projection tv's had a pretty common problem with colors not lining up. My phone is having a similar problem. It'll fade blue or red depending on the image. I tried taking it apart and re-connecting the ribbons and such, no change. When I push hard against the center of the phone it slightly goes away and then returns to the way it was. Anyone have any idea's or similar problems? I'm just trying to figure out what's wrong and if it is fixable. Or rather if replacing the screen will fix it.

I am having this same issue with my phone as well. I don't see any other replies to this thread, but perhaps you heard something from another source?

I haven't heard or seen anything elsewhere as of yet

Well this is old but this is the only thing I've come across about this issue. I know exactly what you are talking about, and when I push on my screen the problem goes away. I'm thinking its caused by the phone being in my pocket for the past year or so, because the problem also seems to go away when I bend the phone. I was about to take the thing apart before I read this, so I thank you for the heads up. Let me know if any of you have found a solution or any more info.

I've found a solution to the problem. I downloaded an app called "Screen Filter", by Haxor Industry. This app was really made to give users some fine tuning adjustment over screen dimming. I've found that it completely clears up ALL discoloration I was having when I set it to about 45 percent. It's amazing really I hope someone with the same problem comes across this.

Rear projection TV's have 3 colors and when any of these cast an image that doesn't align with the others, you have to adjust the convergence setting. Red and Blue are adjustable on my Sony XBR and on this TV, Green can't be adjusted.

Do you have another solution?

I have heard that changing the kernel could fix it as well. I have not tested it yet, so I do not know for sure if it will help. I will try it within the next few days and post the results.

Re: Pixel Displacement Problem
It might be a loose flex cable. I replaced the LCD and digitizer on my husband's Thunderbolt last weekend and had to detach 3 ribbon cables. There's a chance you have a hardware issue, especially if pressing on the screen can change the behavior of the screen.
Take your phone apart, then reassemble. I'll bet the problem goes away.
There are youtube videos on how to take various phones apart.
What do you have to lose?

if you have tried re-connecting the flex cable and still the problem, i am afraid that it is wrong with the lcd
