HTC Incredible Glitches after Update

I updated the software on my HTC Incredible about a month ago when prompted to do so by the phone. Ever since, my phone has been acting really strangely with a variety of glitches. The most serious issue appears to be a problem with shutting down the phone/turning it on. Sometimes when I turn the phone on I see a flash of the home screen and then the phone boots up really fast showing none of the logos or even the droid animation that lists the various phone features. Sometimes the phone even goes back to the default wallpaper on my home screen for several seconds and then goes back to my set wallpaper. Ever since my phone has started doing this I have had notably less battery life. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

I don't think that what you're describing is a reboot. I think that Sense (or part of it) is being reloaded.

Long press Home and see if your recently used list is populated. If it is, you haven't rebooted. As far as battery life is concerned check to see if the defaults for any of your automatic update frequencies have changed.

I've also seen the reload and a couple of real reboots which have been gone since Froyo was released. Another new problem is the fact that I get low memory conditions more often. I'm seriously thinking about going over to Cyanogenmod.
