Exclamation Educate Yourself - Incredible's Snapdragon Processor

I found this wikipedia article very neat. It talks about the DI's CPU and others that will be introduced this year. Our processor "is" capable of encoding/decoding 720p HD video so hopefully we will see that unleased in the DI soon.

There will be a dual-core 1.5ghz Snapdragon process released towards the end of this year which can decode/encode 1080p video! The times surely are great

interesting, it can decode 720p but we are unable to record in 720p via the vidcam?

I'm not really sure what that means. We are all capable of doing many things but that doesnt mean we are all going to be able to do them. How that snapdragon is used can be in so many ways

The EVO 4G can record 720p so the DI should be able to as well.

Well, recording depends not just on the processor but on the camera too. It is possible that the camera is unable to capture video at 720p with a decent frame rate.

If you could tell me the camera lens is exactly the same with the incredible as the EVO then possibly i might agree with you. Why would it really matter anyways? If you want to video some kickass HD then i hope you wouldnt consider using as EVO as your first choice.

As far as the incredible i have shot some video and uploaded to youtube. Its pretty decent quality and i have no complaints. I also have a 12MP sony digital cam that shoots 720hd. Its nice but it still doesnt blow my mind like you would think HD quality would.

As I stated in another thread, not everyone chugs an HD Camcorder around with them all day, but they do have their cell. Why do u think the market is so great for everything HD? I guess if u browse the web u shouldn't do it on ur incredible but rather ur desktop too huh...

As far as I know, they are the same camera.

They are coming out with a dual core 1.5GHz processor?? Wow, that is going to be a beastly phone, and much better than the new iPhone. Hopefully by 2012 we can all upgrade to something truly great, like a 2.5GHz quad core or something.
