    Swype Not Updating

    A new update for Swype is out and when I go to update the installer, it brings up a prompt that says "There is a problem parsing the package." Any ideas?

    Did you delete the old version first? Delete everything Swype you have except the installer. One they are gone you should be given an option to download one of 2 versions. The smaller version is the full Swype but only includes Spanish and English. The larger one includes more language packs but is the same Swype other than that.

    Yup, I had to completely uninstall mine to install the new one as well. Once uninstalled, it worked fine.

    I had to uninstall the installer to get it to work. My installer got caught in a viscous loop..... launch, new installer update available, download installer, install, launch, new installer update available.....tried at least 10 times to no avail, just uninstalled the installer and redownloaded it and it worked and updated swype..... A BIG PITA but it worked...

    Even having uninstalled everything and reinstalling swype installer over wifi, I can not get past the "error parsing" issue. Swype forums are evidently down today, so they're of zero help. I've been running the last beta for several months and am now hooked! Dang it! Any suggestions?

    Every Swype update I've done had to be with the Dolphin browser. Just got the update to day and didn't have to uninstall anything.

    Looks like their servers were slammed, which makes sense. I was able to update finally last night. So far so good.
