HTC INCREDIBLE power problem.
My Droid Incredible has a problem. When I answer the phone (accept or decline) I hit accept and the call goes thru fine. What is then happening is when I end call it turns the phone completely off and will not turn back on. The only way to power up the phone again is either thru the AC adapter or taking the battery out each time. I have called Verizon and gone thru the steps with them and rebooted the phone. And, it is still doing the same thing.

Sorry that this is my first suggestion because the Incredible is a great phone, but I think the best course of action would be to bring it in to Verizon and request a replacement phone, show them what it is doing and I'm sure they would be able to do that for you. If you have any more details you could supply I would be more than happy to try to help.
Sorry to hear that your phone is giving you problems,

EDIT: Have you called it after it has "shut down"? It might be that the button top has been set so that it doesn't actually turn it back on. I'll look into it real quick.

Akwonder - I just plugged it in and it powered right up. I have noticed when I call my phone using my wife's phone it answers with 2 different screens. One shows picture of caller and decline or accept buttons. The other shows the caller but tells you drag down to answer or drag up to decline. What's with this? The problem seems to occur when the screen shows the decline or accept buttons. Am I totally confusing you now?

Okay so here's what I can tell you there. The accept or decline screen should only be popping up when the phone is in use if I'm not mistaken, whereas the drag screen shows when the phone has been sitting idle. To test the phone to see what is happening I would call it and then hang up so it shuts down. Then try calling it again immediately after to see if it has in fact shut down or if it has actually just timed out and isn't accepting the top button as a wake up button. This is me guessing though so I may not be the best troubleshooter for you. Let me know what happens and I'll do my best.

Three things. One I agree with akwonder, you should only be getting the accept or decline if you are using the phone when a incoming call comes in. Two, if you are not using the phone when this screen appears, what is? Try running airpush if you feel like the phone should be idle when you're getting this screen. Also check your running apps. Is there anything there running that might make your phone think it's in use when it's idle? Three, And this is the one that I'm really feeling, are you running a launcher or thrid party dialer? Something like GoLauncher, not saying that Go would do this but just as an example. It could be a bug in your third party dialer or launcher. If you are try disabling or uninstalling it and take a call. Go back and read the reviews to see if anyone else is having similar issues after installing the same app.
I'm feeling it's going to be two or three. GL
