I'd like to add podcasts to my droid. Is there any way to do that so its separate from my music files? I don't want a podcast coming on if I shuffle my songs for instance.

I use an app called Gallery Excluder. This app lets you choose which folders you don't want your system to include in the list of media that show up in the stock photo gallery and music apps.
I also love using MediaFly for podcasts. It's easy, automatic and has lots of settings like 'only download on wifi' and comes with a list of hundreds of RSS podcast feeds built in to subscribe from..

Yea, the whole shuffle thing has been a pain in my neck with not only podcasts but also with my OldTimeRadio app. I'll be listening to something good then a story will start. I haven't looked at what changes Stitcher has made, it's updated like 3 times in the past week or so, but I have wanted to save those somewhere or somehow that they won't be included in the shuffle. I one time saw a thread that talked about creating a txt file that included a command line that stopped items from playing from that folder. You might be able to Google it and use that method as well, since Punk says GE will work for stock apps. Before the updates I was having issues with Stitcher and downloaded PodKast. I've only played with it a little but it offers you the option to download, and both offer you the option to stream, and both are free, if that's of any help. I will have to check out GE and MF and see what they are about.

I use DoggCatcher for my podcasts and they never show up in any other music apps. I would expect that all of the mainstream podcast managers are smart enough to do this. What are you using for your podcasts?
