You can definitely put music on the phone. Absolutely nothing wrong with that. Just watch closely and make sure to leave a couple of gb open for shifting apps and such around.

Thanks for info. I checked into memory cards at Amazon and was totaly confused by the varity. I found 3 SanDisk cards with apparently the same specs but had different prices. Any advice on how to proceed buying a memory card?
The class rating means its speed. The higher the number the faster.
Someone can correct me if my next statement is incorrect. If no class rating is stated it's a class 2.
You can get a class 4 cheaper than a class 6 and they both are plenty fast on our phones.
Anything higher than a 2gb card will be hc(high capacity) so don't pay extra because it brags that it is hc.
A bigger card won't be slower than a smaller one until it gets more full, iow a 16 gb card won't be slower with 5gb of data on it than a maxed out 4 card from what I have found when I get bigger cards.

I purchased a 16GB class 6 card on sale from Newegg and it has been 100% reliable and very fast. I seem to recall paying about $40 for it.
Just to add to what jkhonea said...you could def. put music and files on your phone, but as he said, try to keep the internal memory free...helps with performance with the phone. And it looks like you're already getting a SANdisk microsd, which is good, the phone will give you trouble with other brands of memory cards.
Got the new card today. Copied the card to my PC, powered down the phone, switched cards and copied the files to the new card. Didn't even have to format the card. Wow, easy, and only $22 w shipping.
I found out today that while all the music copied from one card to the other the playlists didn't. Actually the playlist show up but they are empty. Anybody know how to copy the playlists from one card to another?
