How do I watch videos on the HTC Incredible? I put a .avi file onto my card and I can't even seem to find the application that will display video. Does the phone even support .avi?

Any suggestions on free programs that will convert the .avi file into MPEG-4? The program that I just downloaded is called any video converter and there is an option for mpg-4. Only problem is I don't know what resolution to use. I know the phones resolution is 800x480 but that is not one of the options. I want the best picture quality possible.

I don't know why that came out looking like I'm a spammer advertising Media Converter... I just pasted in the link and it was automatically turned into an ad! I promise!

Handbrake with these settings work great. It is free and is the ONLY one that has never had my video files out of sync after fast forwarding or rewinding.

    HandBrake setup

Choose -> Ipod Legacy to start (right hand side once you open handbrake)
Select the source video you want to convert
    Container should be MP4

    Picture settings tab

    Width/Height leave as is
    Anamorphic - None
    Crop -Automatic

    Video tab
    H.264 (x264)
    Framerate - Same as source
Avg bitrate - 1000 ( you can set this higher if you choose, but you will not see much difference and it will only make your file larger)

    Audio Tab
    AAC - Stereo - 48 - 160

    That is it.....

There had been talk, a while back, about someone making VLC media player for the Droid. Had not heard much about it, but that would open up new things.
