Does anyone know if Verizon is charging for the use of the Google Maps navigation function? I assume no, but I figured I'd ask.
I tried it out and I actually like it better than my Garmin GPS.

Nope it is 100% free. And really has nothing to do with Verizon. It is built in to the Android OS. You might be thinking of VZ Navigator.
And you will love it. I find it works better and is easier to search for places on than my Garmin.
Does it have verbal turn by turn? I just ordered my Incredible (wont arrive until 5/3) but had been needing to buy a GPS for some time, and I hope that the Incredible will just handle.
How do I set a home address? Is there any way I can give the phone voice commands? Like "Take Me Home" or "I want Ice Cream"?
Cool - thanks. Yeah, like I said I tested it out on my way home to see how it worked. It seems that the verbal instructions are more detailed than my Garmin.
You can use the search bar or search function and hit the microphone and say "navigate to...." say an address or contact name. Works pretty well.
Edit: just create a new contact called "home" and put your address in. Then use the search function and say "navigate to home". Should work.
Avoid Tolls
Is there a way to avoid tolls like in google maps?
