Google Talk HELP?

Is there a way to know if you're signed in Google Talk without actually going into the app? I'd like a widget or notification telling me i'm signed in to Google Talk. The only way to check right now is to actually go into the app. This sucks when i'm trying to hide from people.

I don't believe so but you could always just set your status to invisible!
