Apps reviews on the Android Market

Not sure if anyone shares my feelings, but, I really get peeved when reading some of the reviews on apps. 9/10 of the people that shoot down an app because it FC's, doesn't work - piece of crap- don't download, does not work on "my phone" ---etc, fail to mention what platform (phone) they are using that it doesn't work on.
I have only left a few - should leave more- reviews, but I always indicate what phone I am using in hopes that another Dinc user can benefit.

No worries... I tried to read through all the comments for an app - and weed out all the "I WAS PROMISED A PONY!!!" whiners.

agree, when i review i alway put my Incredible on there. you need to know what phone to make an educated choice if to d/l or not!

I think it should automatically show what phone you are posting from. If they can tell what phone you are on and block some apps from showing up they should be able to post what phone you are posting reviews from. I do post what phone I am posting from and it does frustrate me when I see negative posts with no mention of what phone.

What i really laugh at is when people rate a Widget 1 star because it "Wont open" and they don't realize that widgets don't "Open" and you add widgets to your home screen.

Basically i get irritated when people don't know how to use the app and rate it low. ESPECIALLY when it says right in the description how to use it.

Haha. I never see a way to review. If i have trouble I just email the Dev. So i guess I don't even know how

Go to the market, find any app you installed, tap on it. At the top of the screen it will have "My review" and 5 stars. Tap on however many stars you want to rate it and then it will ask for you comments. Next time you tap on that app in the market, your review will be on top of the screen and in the comments area.
