Extended Battery Recommendation
Hello,
I am looking to upgrade the battery in the Vzw Droid Incredible. Gorilla Gadgets has a 3500mAh battery on sale now for $26: 3500mAh HTC Droid Incredible Extended Battery with Back Plate
Have people noticed a good uptick in performance? Is this one of the better ones to get? Are there other batteries I should be looking at?
If they really are only increasing the size by 5-6mm, that's fine with me, I think. I'll have to purchase a new silicone case, but that's fine.
Thanks!

I don't know anything about who makes the battery for them but Seido is a reputable after market battery maker.
I have an oem 2700mah battery and it makes a tremendous difference between charges and makes the phone fit my hand better than the stock battery.

I tried several extended batteries and I decided I liked the original size of the phone so I ended up using the HTC 1800 mAh made for the EVO 4G/Touch Pro 2/Droid Incredible. I would get 36-50+ hours depending on usage. The Seidio 3500 lasted me several days but I'm never away from a charger that long and I thought it was just too big. If you can return it if you don't like it, give it a try!
I have switched to an Incredible 2 and its battery life is much better!
Mountainbiker Mark always has great advice.

stock battery on the inc2 or the 1800? or does the 1800 even fit in the inc2? i just got the seidio 1750 for the inc2 - first 10% went down real fast, but haven't gone through a full cycle yet...

The 1800 does fit in the Inc2 but it seems a bit tighter, it might be a fraction of an inch thicker than the 1450. I switch between the 1450 and the 1800 in the Inc2. Yeah, the first 10% goes down amazingly fast and bump charging doesn't seem to help.

Hi -- I did get it, late last week .... so far, it looks like I can get just under 48 hours without charging. I also haven't started using anything like juice defender, etc. -- so I have to assume the battery life may even improve slightly.
So far, I'm happy with it.

My husband and I have used the Seidio 3500 for almost one year. Love it, and can go several days without charging. However, yesterday the batteries both almost died after only 6 hours of use. Are there new apps that drain it faster? We really have not added anything or changed the way we use it.
Now won't hold charge for more than 4 hours. Could the batteries be self-destructing?

If you can get a year out of any cell battery, in my experience that's a tremendous feat. I believe your battery is just past it's lifespan and needs to be replaced. Just my thought...
What apps have you downloaded since yesterday?

Go to settings , about phone, battery, what's been using my battery and look at what the top users are. On mine every blue moon my "media server " shows up as the top user and it also coincides with a sudden large drop in battery life. A reboot (power off , let it sit for a minute or so, power back on ) of the phone usually fixes it. Also if you are in an area that a cell or group of cells is being worked on your reception could be doing the drain as well because your phone may be cranking up the output trying to grab a good signal . Since both phones are acting the same that is the most likely culprit.
My 2150 oem was a year old on Sept 4, gets charged almost daily and is still going strong , no signs of wearing out yet.
