Amazon.com: OEM 3.5mm Stereo Headphone Headset: Cell Phones & Service

best purchase I've made for my phone yet. Cheap, good sound, stereo for when I'm in noisy areas at work, and they won't just randomly fail.. if they do, another $3 for more, which from reviews, shouldnt happen for a few years.

I won't purchase another bluetooth headset until they are reliable, this is just my opinion and experience with them, I know others have had excellent experiences with bluetooth, and thats what it comes down to. user experience.

**and yes it works fine with the DI
    Thanks again for the tip...

They're all over Amazon for $3, SHIPPED! (your vendor was out of stock, but I didn't have any trouble finding them elsewhere).

This has to be the best value in electronics anywhere, and for that price, they're practically disposable.

The sound is great (of course, not for the audiophile) and fine for music and FM radio.

The sound quality of the mic, according to every report, is "as good as any land-line I've ever heard".

If there's a flaw, it's the fact that there's a cord, but it's not that difficult to manage, even while mobile.
...and the mic isn't noise-canceling, so it will pick up wind noise, etc if you're in a noisy vehicle but everyone has mentioned that they have no problem hearing and understanding me; its just distracting when I'm not talking.

I've got my DI in the upper left-hand corner of the windshield with a universal mount with a long flex-arm on it so it's actually slightly above the tip and "on" the post so it doesn't block vision at all... ...the cord on the headset is more than long enough to route the cord above the door frame behind the trim and leave just enough cord that the headphones give you a little freedom of movement and hang out of the way from near the shoulder harness mount when you're not using them. Using the "car panel" and voice search, it only takes one touch of the button to activate voice search, glance to verify that its chosen the right number (ex: "call Bill Jones at Home", "call Bill Jones mobile"... ...and I've experienced close to 90% accuracy when the vehicle's quiet.) (I often drive a somewhat noisy panel-van that gets a little loud over 40 mph with a window cracked). With the wire coming from behind you, there's no interference with your driving in any way, and they're easy to slip in and out of your ears when you need to remove them to exit or reach for something that uses up your slack.

Another thing I like is that if you don't use the silicone cushions that come with them, they're still comfortable enough for extended wear, but don't block out necessary traffic sounds if you keep the music or volume at a reasonable level, so that's a big safety feature during any type of activity. I'm going to buy another decent quantity of them so I can have them in every vehicle and spare sets for loss and damage, as well as always having a set at my desk. It's so much more convenient to be hands-free and not have to hold the phone while you're shuffling papers while on a business call.

It's gotta just about the best $9 I've ever spent (three pair).

I have the Plantronics 903 and I think I will need to return them. They cut out terribly, more so out doors. On the worst of days, they will actually disconnect and reconnect if I look over my left shoulder and then look forward again, as I do often when walking my dog Vince. Very annoying. I mean very. On good days they cut out as I swing my arm past the phone on my belt clip while walking.

I have thought about an arm band to work around the issue, but I have no problems at all with my Jawbone Icon, so I think i either got a bad set or the 903's are much weaker in the antennae or what ever is used to pick up the bluetooth signal.

Any other 903 owners have an opionion? Should I exchange them or give up on these and try something else?

I have a set of V-MODA Vibes I bought a few years back and I love them. Paid way more for them than they cost now These had the rubber like covering on the cable, and that I do not like. Very difficult to untangle when I take them out of my pocket. I think the cloth covering would be an improvement.

I use Sony Sports wired for running and Moto S9HD for bluetooth stereo. I have yet to hear of bluetooth stereo that can survive sweat for an extended period of time. The S9HD are great for music and calls.

I listen to FM radio on my phone and just bought some LG TONE HBS-700 bluetooth headphones ($52 on Amazon). Can I use them to listen to FM radio? The cord needs to be plugged in to be an antenna and then the sound goes through there, not the bluetooth. Help! Do I need to send them back to Amazon?

    Headphones: Wired Vs. Bluetooth

My recommendation would be wired not because bluetooth for your case wouldn't work but more because of the limited choices of bluetooth headsets. Given the current technology of bluetooth, they are able to transmit up to 320kbps of audio wirelessly (that's not bad actually) and your audio files are by large 128 or 192kbps, bluetooth could actually work if there were more choices available.
Depending on music choices there are plenty of choices for you to choose from for earphones.
