    I have the original battery, and got a special from Amazon - CE - 3500mAh - for about $22. I also got the Kraken protector case which has a hard shell for the back, and so I use that instead of the one that came with the battery - then over that there is a soft case - and also a hard screen protector. First day I am using it--the new battery, so don't yet know it's life.

    I'll use a stock battery til I have decided which of the extended batteries to use. I'm a pretty heavy user (I think...) so I have no idea which to purchase.

    Do I understand you correctly that a 3500mAh will fit in the Kraken case? If so, I just made my choice. I'm hooked on the Trident cases!
