i think you and your dad could make a killing on ebay or outright sell them as your own little company. and call it "urkradle". "customized to you". just a thought. 6 weeks of vacation? guess he doesnt need the money. lol
but seriously, i would buy one personalized to something i like.

Actually, when they get back from their trip (they're retired, so on a fixed income, but comfortable) he's making one for my brother-in-law with this on it:

BIL has a Blackberry, so portrait orientation for his. If you're serious, PM me and I'll ask him about making others. But be aware that they'll be gone for 6 weeks!
A while back he and Mom did the craft show circuit. He even took a class on selling stuff on eBay, but I guess it was either too technical for him, or it never panned out. He has a website I made him (probably 10 years ago) with more of his stuff:

To be honest, I think that dragon would look good in both landscape and portrait. I'll definitely send you a PM. Could you post a pic of a portrait style cradle if he has one made? Thanks.

He doesn't have it made yet, he's starting work on it when they get back (they left this morning for 6 weeks.) Basically, I just turned the back board upright, put 2 pegs at the bottom (since the BB my brother-in-law has doesn't have a flat bottom, it kind of comes to a point) and made the side pieces taller. He usually cuts two at the same time, since it's as easy to do two as one, and that way if he messes up (for instance, the first one he was working on for my blue butterfly, he dropped and broke. Luckily he had a spare) he has another. If he manages to finish it without messing up, I could tell him I have a buyer for the "spare," if you're interested.
