Bluetooth Blues

How's everyone going? Been awhile since I needed some forum help or posted on here but you are my fav Droid Incredible community

So, the other day I picked up my first bluetooth headset... needing a new xbox headset anyways and not really caring about the bluetooth features, I picked up the new wireless/bluetooth xbox headset.

I was messing around with the bluetooth feature on my Dinc and discovered to my horror that no matter what I tried, I could not get it to work with phone calls, but it works great as a media headset (listen to youtube videos, music, etc)

No matter what, when I go into the device settings for this headset, I cannot get it to connect to use the phone. Even when I try to disable the media and have it only on phone, it disconnects the headset and reconnects it with the media. I have scoured google for a few hours now and have yet to come up with a solution... has anyone had a problem with this with this headset or anything bluetooth?

Does the headset support hfp? That's the protocol for phone calls.

I believe so, as it came with instructions on how to answer calls and make calls.

EDIT: it does. but I still have yet to find anyone else having a similar problem

If you bought it local I'd definitely suggest exchange it for another

I have trouble believing that a perfectly working headset has this one bug... I'm going to test it on another phone and get back to you

EDIT: as suspected, it works fine on a Dinc 2. Oh well, will try a new rom and see what happens

Turns out it was the phone, changing the rom fixed it
