I thought that these Fourth Generation devices would have a faster engine than the Third Gen...

Fourth gen. How do you figure that.
    I see Inc>Inc2>Inc4G.

    Each gen progressively faster:
Gen 1: Moto Droid1 and others at 350+ mh
Gen 2: Inc1 and others at 998+- gh
    Gen 2.5: Inc2 etc at 1gh+
Gen 3: Nexus Rezound etc at dual core 1.2/5
Gen 4: Inc4G etc same dual core 1.2/5

As far as I am concerned the Inc4G is part of the same grouping as the Galaxy Nexus, Razr Max, and Rezound. The specs are pretty much equivalent.

All have dual core processors, 1GB of ram, and some sort of high resolution display.

Now the Samsung Galaxy S3 is a 4th gen device with its quad core processor.

My point was that the Inc4G should be more impressive, and a 4th generation device, like you said it's not, and it's late in the scheme of things. Why buy it, with the quads so close?

Exactly. The Inc2 wasn't much of an upgrade over the Inc. It had more ram, and a larger screen. Still had a 1Ghz processor, but it was a newer model. And both had the same screen resolution.

And the INC2 had worse phone reception, I loved my INC1. The INC2 is a nicely finished phone, but not a big step ahead.

Frankly I'd go HTC One over the INC4G
