HTC Incredible 2 Camera Hack

So Verizon has pretty much told me straight out that the front facing camera is more for show than usable. If I'm using the camera app and I go into the setting and switch it from Main to Secondary I can use the front facing camera. However, if I close the app and reopen it resets to the back camera again. This makes it impossible to do an appropriate video chat as the person on the other end always sees through the back camera instead of front.

So what I need is either a hack for the camera software so that I can lock it on the Secondary camera or a hack for Yahoo Messenger to allow me to pick my camera or another camera software that I can use to help me succeed where I have so far failed.

Anyone have ideas or up to the challenge of providing a hack?

I'm surprised they never gave that much thought. There should be a fix tho...hopefully.
