Button problems

Ok, Im new ,so this could be old news.I just bought a new Inc.2 that someone got as a replacement and went with something else.I really like the phone but sometimes the power button needs pressing 6 or 7 times to come on.I loaded a 'screen off' widget so I don't have to power it off with the button but its a little frustrating.Sometimes it works right ,one push,but mostly not.Am I looking at button replacement? Anyone else have this problem?

It could be goob or pocket lint caught in the button. Try pressing it in, take a pin or something thin, scrape around the button recessed part, blow it out with canned air or a strong breath. If the button can't physically make the whole cycle it can cause that and/or other problems.
When one has younger kids one finds the quirks with just about everything because they can cause them just by being young kids
