Installation Aborted/Can't flash ROMS/Tryingtounroot

Okay first off, I'm not going to beat around the bush, I'm an Ultra Noob. I have a mac and rooted my INC with unrevoked. I also still only have Froyo 2.2? Clockwork mod (green letters) seemed to work and I flashed cyanogen mod 6.0 I believe and it worked except for 3g didn't work. I didn't know at the time all I had to do was activate it so I recovered back to stock OS and downloaded ROM manager which put a new clockworkmod version on. Once I downloaded that the new clockwork mod (bright blue letters) wouldn't install anything from my SD. Now, any time I try to flash something it says "Installation aborted". I want to unroot and start over but can't flash anything. Either I'm missing something or I did some noob move. So now I'm stuck with a rooted phone and I feel like I'm at a dead end. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I can't seem to find anything about aborted installations in the forums. Hope this info helps you help me .

What exactly were you trying to flash, link to it? And what steps did you take to do this?
